Butt Ugly Sweaters Back in Style

Judy of makes wearing ugly sweaters so chic and cool.
I think it's pretty safe to say we all have nightmares about those old butt ugly sweaters grandma used to give us at the holidays. It never failed for me, I had them at just about every holiday from Christmas to St. Patty's Day. I mean my grandma was super cool, and I would even call her HIP.  However, I did dread the day she managed to find me one with a crocheted leprechaun and shiny green shamrocks on it. I think if memory serves right it may have had jingle bells for the "pot o' gold" and he was kicking his heels up. (Laughing at me no doubt.) Much to my dismay, I would have to wear it to school picture day. I guess it's true what goes around comes around, because that sweater today would be coveted by most and bring me a pretty penny.

Some of the ugly sweaters of yesterday are highly sought after today.
Thanks to Judy, and hoards of Butt-Ugly Sweater Lovers, these sweaters are the hip new trend.   Now let's get something straight, you should know there's Butt Ugly sweaters, Really Ugly sweaters, and just Ugly sweaters . Yep, three different catergories unless you count the Ugly Christmas Sweaters which would really be by itself. Oh, and there's the $25 and under Ugly Sweater bargain rack!  It takes someone like Judy to know the difference and properly sort and categorize them all. I have to say I'm her newest fan. I actually LOVE some of her sweaters. Check these out if you are looking for the perfect vintage style gift:
The "Brick House" is for any teacher you know.  Oh yeah, perfect gift idea.

The Big Dog is for any dog lover and has an upscale Martha meets Ralph Lauren look.

This "Antique Shop" sweater is under "Really Ugly Sweaters" but I think it's just the thing for us vintage gals. See it here!.
You have to go to ButtUglySweaters to see what I'm talking about.

Be sure to comment and tell me your childhood memory of the ugliest sweater you ever did see or have to wear. I'm off to check out Judy's site and blog and do some ugly sweater shopping.
